Transdev Maintenance Quality Assurance Manager - LA DASH in Los Angeles, California

Develops and manages the Maintenance Quality Assurance Plan


  • Under the guidance of the General Manager, develops a quality assurance plan for the maintenance department activities along with other activities that influence and connect to maintenance activities

  • Monitors and evaluates system data to determine compliance with the plan; evaluates data using spreadsheets; provides reports to Maintenance leadership and the General Manager

  • Understands and monitors compliance with operations contracts

  • Perform vehicle appearance and functional inspections to ensure completion of proper maintenance processes

  • Prepares maintenance schedules

  • Recommends and implements process improvements

  • Completes reports and other required paperwork accurately and in a timely manner

Education, Licensing, and Certifications :

  • High school diploma or equivalent, such as GED, required

  • Must be able to obtain a valid Class B or higher Commercial Driver’s License with passenger endorsement

Experience :

  • 5 or more years of progressively responsible public transit experience in operational and maintenance environments required

Skills and Knowledge Required:

  • Ability to read, understand, and interpret transit system operating rules, regulations, policies, phases and routes

  • Sound general mechanical knowledge of coaches

  • In-depth knowledge of the laws and regulations associated with vehicle and facility maintenance

  • Strong written and oral communication skills

  • Ability to interpret and administer contracts

  • Strong proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint programs

  • Ability to interact professionally with internal and external customers on all levels and be able to work well with diverse groups

  • Must be able to work shifts or flexible work schedules as needed.
