Transdev Technology Manager in Los Angeles, California

Overview:

The Technology Manager plans, directs, and ensures the successful management of technology solutions. In addition, you will provide technical assistance in identifying and evaluating methods and procedures that are efficient and effective to improve operational performance. You will also maintain excellent communication with upper management to ensure smooth running of all projects undertaken by the team.

This position is for proposed business; employment offers are contingent upon winning the proposal.

Responsibilities:

The Technology Manager is responsible for troubleshooting all technology related issues such as as computers(hardware and software), Intelligent Transportation Systems(ITS), wifi, cellular connection, bus cameras, automatic vehicle locator's (AVL), automated passenger counters(APC), and emergency radios.

Qualifications:

Education, Experience and Certifications

  • Two year college degree in computer science or information technology/systems or four (4) years of experience in computer technology or information systems.

  • Experience with supporting both purchased and in-house developed hardware and software applications

  • Experience creating Business Requirements, Project Plans, Project Schedules and associated project materials

Skills and Knowledge Required:

  • Ability to effectively manage time, prioritize work, multi-task across many assignments and delegate

  • Knowledge of MS Office Tools (Word, Excel, Project, PowerPoint, Visio) required

  • Ability to assess the impact of new project requirements on an existing team workload
