This role oversees safety education, accident prevention, loss control, and regulatory compliance for the organization. The position involves managing the training department to develop high-quality bus operators through comprehensive training focused on customer service and safety.

Responsibilities
Key duties include coordinating activities related to on-the-job injuries, light-duty assignments, workers' compensation claims, and liability matters. The role establishes and maintains a safe, healthy, and compliant work environment per all applicable regulations and policies.
Additional responsibilities include:
Guiding location trainers, developing training content, teaching classes, and scheduling training
Investigating incidents, accidents, injuries, determining fault, completing reports/files, counseling drivers
Overseeing scheduling processes to ensure safe, timely service delivery
Planning and conducting monthly safety meetings aligned with goals
Assisting and training drivers on passenger management and safety issues
Performing driver road evaluations
Supervising safety and training staff
Providing reports and analyses on safety trends, developing cost-saving recommendations
Other duties as required

Must be able to work shifts or flexible work schedules as needed.
90% of work is accomplished indoors and in air conditioned or well-ventilated facilities.
Work is accomplished in an office or in a cubicle space equipped with a telephone and computer.
The employee is generally subjected to long periods spent sitting, typing, or looking at a computer screen.
