Transdev Digital Marketing Coordinator in New Orleans, Louisiana

Overview:

Transdev seeks a dynamic, creative, skilled individual to join our New Orleans Marketing team asthe Digital Marketing Coordinator, as part of the services we provide to the New Orleans Regional Transit Authority. This position is responsible for the implementation of marketing activities and digital strategy to promote the RTA’s transit services, build ridership and loyalty, and improve how we inform and serve passengers. This includes creating and managing content and building engagement via social media and social outreach; developing and managing all content of the website of the Regional Transit Authority in New Orleans; contributing to and monitoring other digital formats including email campaigns and paid advertising; managing and monitoring digital and online analytics, and other duties as assigned. This position works closely with multiple departments in New Orleans as well as with the Transdev Corporate Marketing and Communications team.

Responsibilities:

Social Media:

  • Work with Manager/Director and take the lead in building and executing strategy for key digital marketing channels (e.g. social media outreach, website, email campaigns)

  • Manage the RTA’s social media outreach, ensuring that all posts and messaging build engagement and align with the RTA brand and industry best practices.

  • Develop and execute digital campaigns to engage and build followers and relationships with customers.

  • Publish timely, relevant, interesting content that builds followers and strengthens brand awareness across multiple social platforms e.g. Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, Instagram etc.

  • Maintain our social media content calendar, scheduled posts lists and “best practices” guide.

  • Manage our Digimind platform to analyze social media insights and build RTA’s social profile, guide social campaigns, establish and identify “influencers”, and generate social engagement and useful analyses and reports.

  • Monitor and evaluate effectiveness of paid social ads.

  • Stay up-to-date with advances in social media technology and the latest social media platforms.

Web and Mobile Sites

  • Manage the RTA’s website day-to-day, ensuring that all content and messaging serve our passengers and other stakeholders and build the RTA’s identity.

  • Ensure our web and mobile sites are providing passengers with the best source of info on schedules, delays and all other information they need to travel with us.

  • Work with multiple departments to ensure we publish timely alerts and updates regarding detours, delays, re-routing, and other interruptions to passengers.

  • Ensure content serves local passengers, tourists and visitors and other site stakeholders and is always up to date.

  • Work closely with our Creative Director to optimize the visual style and brand consistency on the sites.

  • Promote increased customer usage of available online and mobile rider tools.

  • Increase MY RTA sign-ups by communicating new features and work to achieve set goals set by director. (signups for alerts, newsletter, ecommerce, etc)

  • Manage and prepare reports on website usage statistics through Google Analytics, tracking conversion rates, and proposing improvements to the website based on user analytics.

  • Utilize a range of techniques including paid search, SEO and PPC.

  • Optimize use of our Content Management System (CMS) for website updates and support the cross training of other staff as needed.

Advertising Campaigns

  • Contribute to concepts and goals for advertising campaigns to build ridership and the RTA’s identity.

  • Manage the integration of social media within our various ad campaigns.

Passenger Newsletter

  • Develop content and execute the RTA’s passenger email newsletter (Rider’s Digest) ensuring it is relevant and engaging

  • Track newsletter conversions and click-thru rates on articles/ links and other relevant KPIs to improve relevancy and impact.

Email Campaigns

  • Help execute targeted campaigns that promote the launch of new service lines and products (transit passes, mobile app, e-commerce portal, MyRTA, online and app rider tools, etc.).

  • Help determine segments we should target and which messages are most appropriate

  • Perform a/b testing, analysis, tracking, and reporting on all relevant KPIs and make recommendations for improvement.

  • Generate reports on revenues and app downloads generated through email marketing campaigns

  • Help our department capture customer emails from every possible contact point, including the Call Center, LISTEN, and other channels.

Data Analytics & Customer Insights

  • Help us strengthen our analytics capabilities to monitor app-based customer data on downloads and usage.

  • Work with the Manager/ Director and the Transdev Corporate marketing team to develop greater capacities to view and analyze customer data to gain customer insights on demographics, system usage and other key behaviors.

  • Use this data to target in-app messages to heavy, medium and light users and other relevant segments.

  • Propose new actions to further increase ridership and adoption of rider tools.

  • Monitor all key KPIs from all marketing and customer activities and create a dashboard of customer data, working with Manager/ Director.

Brand Consistency

  • Maintain our brand voice for all aspects of the RTA’s digital presence ensuring consistency and high standards for visual style, tone, attitude, voice and overall quality.

  • Help maintain a “Message Bible” of the strongest and best messaging for the RTA and its services, with a focus on continuous improvement.

Other Responsibilities

  • Support the department in planning and executing events, promotions and a variety of outreach activities in the city and community to engage with passengers build ridership.

  • As soon as the technology is available, work with our team to ensure that real-time GPS information is integrated into the norta.com website, GoMobile app, Service Alerts by Text, Google Maps, etc.

  • Work in communication with the Transit Operations’ Planning and Scheduling department, plus our Communications team, to understand and communicate routes and route changes, transit schedules, fares and fare increases to inform/promote services.

  • Perform other marketing duties as assigned by manager/ director.

Qualifications:

Education and Experience Required:

  • A university degree with a minimum of 3 years’ of experience in digital and social media marketing

  • Experience in social media marketing campaign and content development for online / digital / social medial platforms

  • Experience creating and managing web and mobile sites and content management systems is a significant plus

  • Experience in email campaign development & traditional media campaigns is a plus

  • Knowledge and understanding of current digital/online marketing concepts, strategies and best practices

  • Experience with digital analytics, social media tracking tools and campaign effectiveness tracking

Skills and Knowledge Required:

  • Solid experience in social media marketing campaign and content development for online / digital / social medial platforms

  • Experience in email campaign development and traditional media campaign is a plus

  • Good understanding of current digital/online marketing concepts, strategies and best practices

  • Familiarity with digital analytics, social media tracking tools and campaign effectiveness tracking

  • Share the vision and passion to help drive RTA to be a customer-centric, world-class transit organization through digital and social media marketing channels

  • Excellent, effective oral and written communication and presentation skills in English. Bilingual candidates encouraged to apply.
