Transdev Reservation Specialist - Intelliride in Omaha, Nebraska

Overview:

Takescustomer calls and preauthorizes customer rides using a computerized scheduling system. Performs day of service dispatch duties as needed.

Responsibilities:

  • Working on location 10am-7pm including weekends.

  • Receive phone and online requests for services, screen each request, and if approved, assign the trip to the appropriate NET provider.

  • Follow system and procedures to ensure consistent application of criteria for approval decisions.

  • Check Transdev email account for important staff updates.

  • Abide by policies and procedures provided in the Training Manual.

  • Attempt to resolve client concerns while on the phone, but if they are unable or are asked to escalate a call to a supervisor, manager, etc they may escalate the call to a reservation specialist team lead. If no reservation specialist team lead is available, the RS must document this on the client record and then escalate the call to a supervisor.

  • Spanish speaking a plus Other duties as required.

Qualifications:

Education, Licensing, and Certifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent, such as GED, required

Experience:

  • 1 year or more of customer service experience preferred.

Skills and Knowledge Required:

  • Ability to read, comprehend and understand maps

  • Ability to read, understand, interpret, and explain transit system operating rules, regulations, policies, phases and routes

  • Basic math, writing, and computer skills

  • Ability to communicate via telephone with clear speech and a pleasant phone manner Travel requirement (as a percent): <5% for occasional meetings

Pre-Employment Requirements:

  • Must submit to drug testing and a background check

Physical Requirements:

  • Must be able to work shifts or flexible work schedules as needed.

  • 100% of work is accomplished indoors and in air conditioned or well ventilated facilities

  • Work is accomplished in an office or in a cubicle space equipped with a telephone and computer.

  • The employee is generally subjected to long periods spent sitting, typing, or looking at a computer screen.
