Transdev IT Manager in Phoenix, Arizona
The IT Manager will oversee the locations connectivity, accessibility,a nd use of transit application systems and related hardware and software. This software may include, but not be limited to Fluid/Fuel Management Systems, CAD/AVL system, and scheduling software and dispatch system.
Plan and coordinate activities such as installation and upgrading of hardware and software, programming and systems design, development of computer networks.
Handle the upkeep, maintenance, and security of networks. Responsible for hardware and software upgrade recommendations based on organization’s technology.
Analyze the computer and information needs of the location from an operational and strategic perspective and determine immediate and long-range personnel and equipment requirements.
Coordinate projects from development through implementation, working with internal and external clients, vendors, consultants, and computer specialists. Involved in projects that upgrade the information security of an organization.
Other duties as assigned to ensure the efficient operation of the regional and Company.
Education, Licensing, and Certifications :
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology a plus.
Minimum 3 years of experience supporting applications, network, servers and desktops.
Previous experience working in the area of systems analyst, for example, or as a computer support specialist, programmer, or other information technology professional.
Skills and Knowledge Required:
Must possess strong interpersonal, communication, and leadership skills because they are required to interact not only with staff members, but also with other people inside and outside their organizations.
Demonstrate ability to identify and understand problems and to determine the appropriate measures it takes to solve problems.
Ability to maintain a variety of complex records and to prepare reports.
Excellent communication skills both written and oral.
