Transdev Receptionist in Phoenix, Arizona

Overview:

The Receptionist coordinates various daily front desk/reception area and office administrative activities to include ensuring the reception area is clean and tidy at all times. The Receptionist helps set the tone for visitors and employees entering the office space and as such will need to be professional, have experience within a corporate environment and have the ability to greet visitors warmly and ensure they are comfortable.

Responsibilities:

  • Answer phones and route calls

  • Take and relay messages

  • Answer inquiries about company

  • Greet visitors warmly and make sure they are comfortable

  • Assist perspective employees with with employment application process

  • Assist in coordination of new hire candidate interviews day and time appointments

  • Order food for meetings, receive and set up food in conference rooms.

  • Coordinate mail flow in and out of office

  • Collect and distribute parcels and other mail

  • Performs recurring clerical duties

  • Issue and renew employee bus passes

  • Order supplies as required

  • Maintains confidentiality of all information

  • Various other duties as needed

Qualifications:

Education, Licensing, and Certifications :

  • High school diploma or equivalent, such as GED, required

Experience:

  • At least 2 years general office experience required

Skills and Knowledge Required:

  • Basic knowledge of all office equipment

  • Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office

  • Ability to understand and follow written or verbal instructions

  • Good telephone manner

  • Ability to organize and prioritize tasks, manage time, and work without constant supervision

  • Good interpersonal skills

  • Ability to communicate well via the written word or verbally

  • Ability to maintain a flexible attitude and approach to assignments

  • Travel requirement (as a percent)

Pre-Employment Requirements:

  • Must submit to drug testing and a background check

  • Will be tested on tools related to job requirements

Physical Requirements:

  • Must be able to work shifts or flexible work schedules as needed.

  • 100% of work is accomplished indoors and in air conditioned or well ventilated facilities

  • Work is accomplished in an office or in a cubicle space equipped with a telephone and computer.

  • The employee is generally subjected to long periods spent sitting, typing, or looking at a computer screen.
