Overview

Transdev is actively seeking a full-time transporation dispatcher who is willing to work flexible shifts out of all three (3) of our facilities in King County! We are looking for a qualified dispatcher who can provide excellent customer service to both our drivers and passengers. Starting pay rate is $16.72 an hour

Responsibilities

  • Works effectively with fellow dispatchers, road supervisors and bus operators in to attain the best service product possible to customers

  • Monitors driver check-ins and route coverage

  • Keeps run board/documents current; fills operator shifts and minimizes expenditures for overtime

  • Communicates and coordinates with internal departments to help meet customer needs

  • Complies withTransdev’s policies and procedures

  • Other duties as required

Qualifications

  • Must be at least 21 years old with a high school diploma, GED or equivalent

  • Minimum 1 year of dispatch operations experience within the transportation industry (Trapeze experience preferred)

  • Excellent communication skills with ability to adapt to changing situations, and listen to feedback

  • A customer service oriented mentality with attention to detail

  • Must be able to pass a criminal background check and drug test

Physical Requirements:

  • Must be able to work shifts or flexible work schedules as needed.

  • Majority of work is accomplished indoors and in air conditioned or well ventilated facilities

  • Majority of work is accomplished in an office or in a cubicle space equipped with a telephone and computer.

  • The employee is generally subjected to long periods spent sitting, typing, or looking at a computer screen.
