Transdev Proposal Writer in Lombard, Illinois

Overview

The Proposal Writer works with the Business Development team on Non-Emergency Medical Transportation (NEMT) proposal contracts. The successful Proposal Writer is a creative communicator able to develop influential methods to enhance and articulate our sales message. This position will work on multiple projects simultaneously in a strict deadline environment.

Responsibilities

  • Review Request for Proposals (RFPs) to become familiar with project and required response criteria for proposal.

  • Work closely with BD project team, particularly Business Development Vice President and Operations staff (as necessary) to identify and develop technical proposal content themes and strategies.

  • Challenge action items and proposal elements to ensure compliance with project strategies.

  • Attend tender gate meetings and occasional on-site visits

  • Write customized content to support technical proposal content themes and strategies.

  • Customize boiler plate content to meet proposal requirements.

  • Utilize proposal repository software to insert proposal content in Microsoft Word template.

Qualifications

Education, Licensing, and Certifications :

  • Degree or equivalent experience.

  • High school diploma, or GED required.

Experience :

  • Experience with writing, proofing and editing required.

  • Experience working in a fast paced, multi project environment with short deadlines.

  • Experience with NEMT proposals.

  • Experience with business development and proposal work preferred.

Skills and Knowledge Required:

  • Expert level proficiency w/ Word, Excel, and Power Point required.

  • Ability to coordinate and prioritize conflicting deadlines.

Skills and Knowledge Preferred:

  • Transportation industry experience.

  • Healthcare industry

  • Proficiency with PMAPS, Photo Shop and Visio is a plus.

Travel requirement:

  • Less than 10% travel.

Pre-Employment Requirements:

  • Must be able to pass a drug test and a criminal background check.
