Supports company efforts to develop winning proposals by researching client needs, service performance and improvement opportunities then translating these findings into key elements of a proposal offer. This position is viewed as a gateway opportunity to learn the mobility business and grow into increasingly more responsible roles within the company.
This role will have an office in one of our locations in the New York area, traveling up to 60% of the time.
Work with Regional BDVP to establish comprehensive knowledge of assigned area’s opportunities and prioritize viable tenders.
Develops business leads; converts leads into opportunities
Research and develop strategic action plans for area renewals to improve renewal rates while holding profit margins.
Assists Regional BDVP’s with coordinating Request for Proposal actions including but not limited to facility identifications, DBE selection, proposal writing, interview preparation, and pricing/cost structure elements.
Maintains a strong understanding of competitive local markets, including private transportation providers; completes competitor market analyses
Participates in trade association meetings at the state and national level
Identify talent to bring into the organization and pass along to Recruiting team.
Updates Customer Relationship Management tool.
Other duties as required.
Education, Licensing, and Certifications :
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Business, Management, Transportation, Planning, Project Management or Marketing.
- A work history demonstrating an ability as a self-starter with good customer relationship skills, solid communications skills and a sales mentality to seek out and develop business opportunities.
Skills and Knowledge Required:
Ability to manage multiple projects at once
Ability to work autonomously and prioritize workload
Knowledge of Microsoft Office suite including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook
Excellent written and oral communications skills
Ability to interface with all varying internal and external management levels
Travel requirement (as a percent): < 60% of time
Must be able to work shifts or flexible work schedules as needed.
