About the position

The Drug and Alcohol Program Manager is responsible for developing, implementing, and managing a comprehensive drug and alcohol program in compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations. This position will oversee all aspects of the program, including policy compliance, training, education, testing, and recordkeeping.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain a comprehensive drug and alcohol policy in accordance with DOT regulations and company standards.

  • Oversee the drug and alcohol testing program, including random, pre-employment, post-accident, and reasonable suspicion testing.

  • Manage relationships with collection sites, and medical review officers (MROs)

  • Conduct investigations and disciplinary actions related to drug and alcohol policy violations.

  • Provide training and education to employees on drug and alcohol policy, prevention, and awareness.

  • Maintain accurate and confidential records of all drug and alcohol program activities.

  • Monitor industry trends and regulatory changes to ensure program compliance.

  • Analyze program data to identify trends and implement corrective actions as needed.

  • Collaborate with management and HR to promote a drug-free workplace culture.

  • Provide support and guidance to employees regarding the drug and alcohol program.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in drug and alcohol program management, preferably in the transportation industry preferred.

  • Knowledge of DOT regulations and industry best practices.

  • Strong organizational and time management skills.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
