Overview

SuperShuttle International Inc. is America’s leading shared ride airport passenger ground transportation service. The company offers SuperShuttle service at over 40 airports nationwide. ExecuCar, our executive black car sedan service, offers service at over 75 airports nationally.

Under the supervision of the Director of Sales, or the Director of National Sales the Sales Manager is primarily responsible for establishing and maintaining ongoing relationships with corporate travel managers, corporate meeting planners, hotels, tour operators, convention centers, tour companies, government agencies, sports teams, real estate management firms, concierge associations, restaurants and all other sectors of the tourism industry in the Phoenix area.

Responsibilities

Primary Tasks:

  • Develop and implement annual sales & marketing plans to increase SuperShuttle/ExecuCar revenues.

  • Work with the Director of Sales or Director of National Sales to ensure consistent lead generation.

  • Familiarity with CRM system, data analysis and reporting.

  • Work closely with the local CVB’s, Chambers, GBTA, HSMAI, and MPI Associations to develop ongoing relationships.

  • Prepare monthly, bi-weekly revenue reports for the Director of Sales and General Manager.

  • Actively develop relationships within the tourism industry to generate group convention, association and corporate meetings reservations.

  • Work Industry Trade Shows.

  • Negotiate local corporate contracts for ongoing agreements with SuperShuttle/ExecuCar.

  • Conduct hotel Guest service/concierge sales blitz to develop relationships and promote the brand.

  • Present SuperShuttle/ExecuCar features and benefits to hotel General Managers, Director of Sales and Group Sales Managers.

  • Create various local promotions, community events, and civic activities to attract new customers.

  • Cold call convention and association meeting planners to generate group contracts.

  • Regularly attend industry events and meetings.

  • Build a pipeline of corporate prospect, conduct outside sales appointments and sustain overall sales performance.

  • Master reservations and sales reporting systems to input data and book group reservations.

  • Meet or Exceed all sales goals.

  • Must be able to work Monday through Friday 8-5, however candidate must be available to attend occasional networking events in the early mornings or after hours to include some weekends as required.

  • Candidate has to have reliable transportation in an effort to attend out of the office appointments and events as scheduled. At least 60% of your time will be attending out of office appointments, trade shows and industry events.

Qualifications

Knowledge, Abilities, Skills and Other Characteristics:

  • Strong written and verbal presentation skills.

  • Proven to be a self-starter with strong organizational skills and demonstrated ability to focus and prioritize to achieve optimum results.

  • Ability to organize and administer several tasks/projects simultaneously.

  • Proficiency in all Microsoft Office products such as: Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint.

  • Positive attitude, and an eagerness to learn are a must.

  • Strong independent decision making skills.

  • Must be a consultative seller and a strong closer.

  • Ability to organize and administer multiple tasks/project simultaneously in a fast paced demanding environment.

  • Strong customer service capabilities are a must.

  • Cooperative demeanor at all levels of the organization.

  • Hardworking, persistent, and dependable.

  • Positive and enthusiastic.

  • Ability to stand for long periods of time at trade shows and be able to lift35 pounds.

Qualifications: Education & Experience

  • Education & Experience - Bachelor’s Degree Preferred

  • Experience in the hospitality sales, association meeting or passenger transportation business development industry preferred.

  • Equivalency – Any combination of education and experience that will allow the applicant to perform the duties of the job may be considered.

  • Travel – This position does not require out of state travel but does require travel within the assigned territory.

  • Salary Range- $50,000 - $60,000
