Responsible for the appearance of all fleet vehicles by detailing and maintaining the overall cleanliness and care of all interior and exterior vehicle components.
Shift: Thursday - Monday 6:00pm - 2:00am
Perform the duties of washing, brushing, and touching up all vehicles on a regular basis to ensure professional appearance.
Install and remove decals on vehicles.
Responsible for maintaining the inventory of cleaning products.
Prepare all outgoing auction vehicles appropriately.
Perform small mechanical body work on vehicles when required.
Responsible for buffing and detailing vehicles to enhance appearance.
Maintain the overall cleanliness of restrooms and parking lots.
Help assist bus mechanics when necessary.
Survey what duties need to be completed and manage these duties time accordingly.
All other duties as assigned by management.
Valid PA State license
CDL preferred but not required at time of hire.
Previous experience with auto cleaning/detailing preferred.
Skills and Knowledge Required:
Must be sufficiently computer literate (with training) to access work orders and input work performed into the Asset Management system(s); know how to operate standard office equipment, two-way radios, fleet vehicles and other related shop equipment.
Must have good oral and written communications skills.
Must be able to work amid constant interruptions, prioritize and deal with time pressured deadlines and be able to clearly communicate during such occasions.
Must be autonomous, self-directed and possess the ability to handle crisis and conflict situations.
Must submit and successfully pass drug testing, criminal background check and verification of previous employment.
Must be able to maintain and sustain a Department of Transportation (DOT) medical card.
Must be able to pass periodical DOT physical examinations and random drug/alcohol screens as this is a safety sensitive position.
Must be able to work shifts or flexible work schedules, including weekends.
This position requires the wearing of a uniform.
Work is performed both indoors and outdoors in all types of conditions (e.g. weather, rain, dust, noise, heat, cold, etc.).
Job requires standing, bending, stooping, kneeling and walking throughout the shift.
Position requires work in an environment where there is exposure to oils and cleaning solvents
