Transdev Human Resources Generalist in Raleigh, North Carolina

Under the direction of the GoRaleigh Human Resources Manager, this position will perform a variety of human resources functions and duties.

Responsibilities

  • Job Summary: Under the general supervision of the Human Resources Manager, the Human Resources Generalist is responsible for providing administrative support for the Human Resources Manager. With a focus on recruiting and onboarding. Essential Duties:

  • Assist the Human Resources Manager with the hiring process, pre-employment process, and other administrative tasks.

  • Ensure the creation and accuracy of all personnel-related paperwork and files for the Human Resources department.

  • Assists Human Resources and Safety Managers with administrative responsibilities including, but not limited to, data entry, scanning, filing, tracking information, responding to incoming phone calls…. etc. in regard to routine employee/safety forms and documentation.

  • Maintains electronic database of various Human Resources and Safety related programs.

  • Assists with the meeting, maintaining, and distribution of FTA requirements as it relates to driver files and drug and alcohol testing requirements.

  • Creates and maintains human resources and safety tracking documents and inputs information.

  • Maintains adequate supply of safety and human resources forms, including employee handbook, applications, safety files, etc.

  • Maintains professional demeanor in dealing with critical/confidential information.

  • Perform other duties as needed.

Qualifications

  • A high school diploma or GED equivalent.

  • 1-3 years of experience in Human Resources / Administrative clerical position.

  • Proficiency using Microsoft Office

  • Excellent interpersonal communication, verbal, and written skills are a must.

  • Must be able to handle sensitive and confidential information/ situations

  • Must be able to handle multiple tasks and be able to prioritize workload

  • Proficiency in recruitment software systems (ex: ICIMS, Sage People, Paycor)

  • One year of relevant office experience required.

Experience Preferred:

  • 2 to 3 years of experience in human resources preferred.

  • ADP experience preferred.

  • ICIMS

Skills and Knowledge Required:

  • Knowledge/experience with spreadsheets and word processing.

  • Knowledge/experience in using organizational and time management practices.

  • Skilled in both verbal and written communication.

  • Skilled in problems solving and decision-making.

  • Skilled in multi-tasking.

  • Ability to maintain confidentiality.

  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office suite including Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Word.

  • Good written and oral communication skills.

  • Travel requirement outside of immediate area (as a percent) <10%

Pre-Employment Requirements:

  • Drug testing and background check.

  • Testing related to job requirements.

Physical Requirements:

  • Must be able to work shifts or flexible work schedules as needed.

  • 100% of work is accomplished indoors and in air conditioned or well ventilated facilities.

  • Work is accomplished in an office or in a cubicle space equipped with a telephone and computer.

  • The employee is generally subjected to long periods spent sitting, typing, or looking at a computer screen.

Work Environment:

  • All tasks are typically performed in the main office.

Supervisory Controls:

  • Reports to the Human Resources Manager
