Transdev Senior Director, Marketing in Scottsdale, Arizona

Overview

The Senior Director, Marketing will lead the creation, management, execution and measurement of marketing strategies and plans for SuperShuttle and ExecuCar. The primary focus of this role is to lead our SuperShuttle Marketing and business development team to attract more customers to the SuperShuttle and ExecuCar platform. This role will ensure our brand promise, value proposition, targeting strategies, CRM, and campaigns attract new customers and retain existing ones. The position will work with Operations, Product Management and Business Development and Finance to set and achieve goals for revenue, passenger counts, user growth, and profitability for the SuperShuttle International Businesses. Today SuperShuttle is our leading brand and will be this person’s major priority. However, this role will also oversee and provide guidance as needed to our smaller brands (ExecuCar), as well as future products and brands we develop. This position reports to the Vice President of Marketing. The Senior Director, Marketing will also manage the marketing aspects of branding and bringing to market of an innovative and emerging B2C and B2B service.

Responsibilities

  • Continually improve performance in customer acquisition and retention

  • Create strong marketing road map, strategies and plans. Develop and drive national and local marketing campaigns, promotions and outreach

  • Oversee all aspects of creative execution, including strategy, brand positioning, targeted messaging, copy writing, graphic design, and production of ads and materials

  • Enhance our capabilities in digital marketing, segmentation and targeting, marketing automation, Search Engine Optimization, Google and app analytics

  • Measure ROI of campaigns across all marketing channels, including social media, email, app, website, mobile, etc. Establish relevant dashboards for monitoring results

  • Improve and accelerate customer data capture, analytics and usage, as well as CRM capabilities, in order to continually improve our understanding of customer behavior and our ability to make customized offers to customer and prospect segments

  • Measure ROI of campaigns across all marketing channels, including social media, email, app, website, mobile, etc. Establish relevant dashboards for monitoring results

  • Contribute to refinement and improvement of pricing analytics and strategies

  • Be the brand steward and champion. Ensure consistency with brand guidelines in all channels

  • Help drive our culture to be more customer-centric. Work with our Operations, Product Management and Customer Care teams to improve the quality and consistency of the customer experience, as well as satisfaction, loyalty and repeat usage

  • Collaborate to define the desired customer experience at each step in the customer journey & then together achieve it. Help set and raise standards and KPIs

  • Lead interaction between marketing and sales teams, aiming to digitize the process

  • Define go-to-market strategies, segments, and associated value propositions

  • Help to build on-line and offline sales tools

  • Plan and manage participation for industry events

  • Lead team in creating strong marketing content including presentations, brochures, case studies, research reports, blog posts, and organic social media to help build our businesses.

  • Manage internal & external communication including media relations and tech bloggers.

  • Oversee marketing/communications planning, budgeting, allocation of resources and reporting. Recommend expenditure levels for marketing and relative investments in strategies and tactics.

  • Manage & develop a team of 5 to 6 people. Determine the optimal mix of in-house talent versus outside consultants or agencies

  • Work closely with Corporate Marketing & Communications teams in the U.S. and Paris. Support other Transdev countries, as needed, in their plans to provide SuperShuttle service in non-U.S. markets.

  • Other duties as required.

Qualifications

Education, Licensing, and Certifications :

  • Bachelor’s degree in sales, marketing, economics or related field required; MBA preferred

Experience :

  • Minimum 10 years of B2C experience in marketing, with strong digital marketing track record.

  • Travel requirement outside of immediate area (as a percent): 10%

  • 100% of work is accomplished indoor and in air conditioned or well-ventilated facilities

  • Work is accomplished in an office or cubicle space equipped with phone and computer

  • Must be able to work certain standard hours yet be flexible for time zone collaboration
