Transdev VP of B2B Business Development in United States

Overview

Transdev’s Business Solutions (B2B) division provides mobility solutions to corporate and university clients. The VP Business Development – Business Solutions (B2B) is responsible for developing and executing the growth strategy for the division through building and maintaining successful client and prospective client relationships, and through staying abreast of the market conditions, client and passenger needs, and operational performance.

The VP of Business Solutions (B2B) Business Development will collaborate with the Transdev Marketing team to build a brand identity for Business Solutions services and to build on-line and off-line sales tools. The role will also collaborate with other North American business development teams to leverage common practices and tools for the preparation of bids and proposals.The VP Business Development is a member of the Business Solutions (B2B) leadership team.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement strategic action plans to improve Business Solutions ability to expand through profitable growth.

  • Develop business leads and convert leads into opportunities. Prioritize viable opportunities to maximize sales.

  • Build and maintain comprehensive knowledge of the market, market size and competitive environment. Complete competitor market analyses.

  • Contribute to the development of innovative products for the Transdev Business Solutions division and the go-to-market strategy of those products

  • Responsible for managing and coordinating the RFP process, including, but not limited to: positioning, proposal management, interview preparation, and pricing/cost structure.

  • Contribute to the development and refinement of the company’s vision and strategy; assists in ensuring that the organization maximizes its short, medium and long – term profitability

  • Participate in industry events, association meetings at national and state level.

  • Other duties as required.

Qualifications

Education, Licensing, and Certifications :

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Management, Transportation, Marketing or related field required

Experience :

  • 5 or more years of experience in sales and/or business development, preferably in a business to business environment

Skills and Knowledge Required:

  • Experienced in communicating a vision and a business strategy internally and externally

  • Strong understanding of customer experience in a business to business environment

  • Ability to manage multiple projects.

  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.

  • Ability to interface with customers at all levels of an organization.

  • Knowledge of Microsoft office suite: Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Outlook.

Travel requirement (as a percent): >75% of time

Pre-Employment Requirements:

  • Must submit to a drug test and background check

Physical Requirements:

  • 100% of work is accomplished indoors and in air conditioned or well ventilated facilities

  • Work is accomplished in an office or in a cubicle space equipped with a telephone and computer
