Become a Public Transit Professional ! Wave Transit is looking for people with great customer service skills and a safe driving record to become commercial bus drivers either full-time or part-time. $16.58 after successfully completing training. A Commercial Driver’s License is not required to apply because we will train!

Responsibilities

• Pick up and drop off passengers at designated locations.

• Drive a transit bus and transport passengers safely, timely and efficiently.

• Greet passengers, accept fare payment, and maintain a safe environment.

• Follow a planned route according to a time schedule.

• Obey traffic laws and state and federal transit regulations.

• Properly report all incidents, accidents, mechanical concerns.

• Adhere to company policies and rules.

• Other duties as required to ensure a safe and courteous ride for our passengers.

Qualifications

• Be at least 21 years old with a high school diploma, GED or equivalent.

• 1 year driving experience preferred.

• A valid drivers’ license in good standing with the ability to obtain a CDL permit.

• Possess excellent customer service and communication skills.

• Be punctual with an emphasis on attendance.

• Pass a pre-employment drug test if you are accepted into the program.
